Amazon Refocuses Luna on Subscriptions, Ending Third-Party Stores and Purchases

The move replaces à-la-carte access with a single subscription pathway.

Overview

  • Amazon, which emailed users Monday, said Luna will drop third-party stores, individual purchases, and external subscriptions on June 10, 2026.
  • Starting June 10, only customers with a Standard or Premium plan will be able to stream games in their Luna libraries.
  • Access to the EA, Ubisoft, and GOG stores on Luna will end, and Amazon says eligible users will receive a complimentary Luna Premium period as a thank-you.
  • Amazon will remove the Bring Your Own Library feature, offer 90 days to download save files, and provide no refunds for games that lose Luna streaming access.
  • Players can still use their original third-party launchers on PC to play owned titles, though one outlet reports some linked games may stop working on Luna as early as June 3.
