Overview
- Kiosks will dispense prescriptions within minutes at One Medical sites in Downtown LA, West LA, Beverly Hills, Long Beach and West Hollywood.
- After providers send prescriptions to Amazon Pharmacy, patients complete orders in the Amazon app, scan a QR code at the kiosk and a remote pharmacist performs a final check with optional video or phone consults.
- Each machine stocks hundreds of common medications such as antibiotics, inhalers and blood-pressure treatments with inventory tailored to each location.
- The kiosks will not dispense refrigerated drugs or tightly regulated controlled substances, and launch access is limited to patients seen in person; One Medical membership is not required.
- Amazon says the model reduces access barriers and shipping costs, with additional One Medical sites to follow and expansion beyond California targeted for 2026, including potential partnerships with outside health systems.
