The launch marks a pivot to on-device AI tied to a subscription model with staged feature rollouts ahead.

Overview

  • Four new Echo devices — Echo Dot Max ($99.99), Echo Studio ($219.99), Echo Show 8 ($179.99) and Echo Show 11 ($219.99) — add AZ3/AZ3 Pro chips, new sensors and 13MP cameras, with Dot Max and Studio shipping Oct. 29 and the Shows on Nov. 12.
  • Amazon introduced Vega OS, a Linux-based platform debuting on the Fire TV Stick 4K Select ($39.99), alongside refreshed Fire TV Omni QLED (from $479.99) and new 2- and 4-Series sets (from $159.99), all available for preorder.
  • Kindle Scribe was refreshed with faster, thinner 11-inch models and a first color version called Kindle Scribe Colorsoft starting at $629.99, with AI tools for note summaries and new PDF and workspace features.
  • Ring and Blink lines gained higher-resolution imaging — including 4K Ring doorbells and cams with Retinal Vision — plus AI features like Familiar Faces recognition, Alexa+ Greetings, and a Search Party tool for finding pets, with preorders now and features rolling out starting in November and December.
  • Alexa+ remains in phased rollout and is a paid upgrade reportedly priced at $19.99 per month but free for Prime members, with an upcoming Alexa+ Store to surface third-party services and manage subscriptions.
