Amazon Orders 'Scarpetta' Series Starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis

Prime Video greenlights two seasons of the crime drama based on Patricia Cornwell’s best-selling novels, with an all-star cast and Liz Sarnoff as showrunner.

• Nicole Kidman will play Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta, while Jamie Lee Curtis will portray her sister Dorothy.
• The series will also feature Bobby Cannavale, Simon Baker, Ariana DeBose, Rosy McEwen, and Jake Cannavale in key roles.
• Blumhouse Television and Amazon MGM Studios are producing the show, with Kidman and Curtis also serving as executive producers.
• Liz Sarnoff is set to write and showrun the series, with David Gordon Green directing the first two episodes.
