Amazon MGM’s Unscripted Chief Barry Poznick Steps Down, Moves to 3-Year Producer Deal Starting Jan. 2026

The change preserves creative continuity on marquee reality series by keeping him as executive producer.

  • Effective January 1, 2026, Poznick transitions from general manager to a three-year executive producer and first-look production deal with Amazon MGM Studios, according to a memo from global TV head Peter Friedlander.
  • He will continue creative oversight as executive producer on franchises including The Voice, Shark Tank, multiple Real Housewives series, Vanderpump Rules and American Gladiators.
  • Lucilla D’Agostino and Kitty Gamble will continue to lead creative development, with Justin Dudek overseeing physical production and Ryan Singer and Tony Borbagiovanni remaining in business affairs and production finance.
  • D’Agostino and Gamble will report to Friedlander, while Dudek and international unscripted SVP Dom Bird will report to Gamble to maintain day-to-day continuity.
  • Poznick, who joined MGM in 2016, helped launch Prime Video titles such as Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity and 007: Road to a Million and led acquisitions of Evolution Media and Big Fish as well as a UK-based international unit.
