• Amazon MGM Studios assumed full creative control of the James Bond franchise from Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson earlier in 2025.
• Veteran producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman are overseeing the next 007 film’s creative direction under Amazon MGM’s stewardship.
• Denis Villeneuve, Edward Berger, Edgar Wright, Jonathan Nolan and Paul King have pitched to direct the project while Alfonso Cuarón has withdrawn from consideration.
• The studio expects to finalize its director this summer, followed by script development and casting of the next James Bond.
• Principal photography is scheduled to begin in 2026 with the film targeted for release by the end of 2027.
