Amazon manager sentenced to 16 years for leading $9.4 million fraud ring

Kayricka Wortham, an Amazon manager, orchestrated a fraud scheme to steal $9.4 million from the company.
Wortham used the money to fund an extravagant lifestyle, purchasing luxury cars, a $1 million home, and other expensive items.
The scheme involved submitting false invoices for fake vendors and redirecting the funds to Wortham and six co-conspirators.
Wortham pleaded guilty to wire fraud and was ordered to pay $9.5 million in restitution to Amazon.
After serving her 16-year prison sentence, Wortham will face three years of supervised release.
