Amazon Makes Uber Eats a Prime Perk With Free Delivery Over $25

Folding restaurant delivery into Amazon’s shopping app boosts Prime value by letting members order without a separate Uber account.

Overview

  • Amazon and Uber launched the integration Thursday, letting Prime members place Uber Eats orders on Amazon.com or in the Amazon Shopping app using existing Amazon logins and payment methods.
  • Prime members pay $0 delivery fee on Uber Eats orders of $25 or more placed through Amazon, but service fees, taxes, and driver tips still apply.
  • To kick off the partnership Prime members get $20 off each of their first two qualifying orders of $25 or more for a limited period, with some outlets reporting the promo runs through November 18, 2026.
  • Amazon ended new Grubhub+ activations the same day and said customers who already activated Grubhub+ through Prime can keep it through December 31, 2027 while Uber One membership remains separate.
  • The deal extends Amazon’s strategy of keeping more services inside Prime and strengthens ties with Uber after Amazon’s earlier attempt at its own restaurant service and a multi-year Grubhub partnership.
