Overview
- The rollout begins in December 2025 at five One Medical clinics across greater Los Angeles: Downtown LA, West LA, Beverly Hills, Long Beach and West Hollywood.
- After a provider sends a prescription to Amazon Pharmacy, patients check out in the Amazon app with upfront pricing and estimated copays, then scan a QR code at the kiosk to pick up medications in minutes.
- Kiosks stock hundreds of common drugs such as antibiotics, inhalers and blood-pressure treatments, exclude controlled substances and refrigerated medicines, and offer remote pharmacist review with video or phone consults.
- The service is initially limited to patients seen in person at participating One Medical offices, does not require a One Medical membership, accepts insurance and carries no additional kiosk fee at launch.
- Amazon plans to expand the model outside California in 2026 and is in talks with external health systems, positioning inventory closer to patients to boost adherence and reduce shipping costs.
