Amazon Invests $19.5M to Expand Project Kuiper Satellite Facility in Florida

The expansion aims to accelerate the deployment of Amazon's global broadband satellite network and enhance Florida's space economy.

The new 42,000-square-foot facility will be adjacent to the existing 100,000-square-foot structure at Kennedy Space Center.
Total investment in the site now reaches nearly $140 million, supporting the launch of 3,232 satellites.
The facility will feature advanced storage, maintenance, and rigging capabilities for efficient satellite handling.
Construction is expected to complete in 2025, with the project on track to start delivering services the same year.
More than 2,000 Amazon employees are currently working on Project Kuiper.
