Overview
- Amazon set a 48-hour Prime Big Deal Days sale for Oct. 6–7 in North America and scheduled a seven-day Australian window from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.
- The company says the event will feature hundreds of thousands of deals across more than 35 categories, with discounts on major brands and sizeable price cuts on Amazon devices.
- Most of the deepest discounts will be limited to Prime members, and Amazon is promoting time-limited subscription offers such as three months of Kindle Unlimited free, four months of Audible for $0.99 per month, and trials of Amazon Music Unlimited.
- Some early deals are already live, and Amazon is rolling out AI shopping features—Alexa for Shopping, price-history displays and automated tracking—to help members find and secure offers.
- Rivals including Target and Walmart have announced competing fall sales, which could keep prices competitive and make price comparison and deal-tracking important for shoppers ahead of Black Friday.
