Overview
- The Boeing 767 operating as 21 Air Flight 7598 overran Runway 30 at Miami International Airport on Sunday, crossed the perimeter, struck a Ford Econoline van inside the airport and a Toyota SUV outside it, and burst into flames.
- Five people in the vehicles were killed and five others were injured; first responders extricated trapped victims, treated the two pilots who were released from hospital, and managed a fuel leak and fire suppression at the scene.
- The NTSB has a 32‑person go team on site, recovered the flight data and cockpit voice recorders and will document perishable evidence over several days without assigning probable cause while the on‑site phase continues.
