Amazon Cancels 'Bosch' J. Edgar Spinoff and 'Who's the Boss?' Sequel

Plans for new series featuring Jerry Edgar and a 'Who's the Boss?' follow-up with original stars have been dropped by Amazon.

MGM Studios has decided not to move forward with the J. Edgar spinoff from the Bosch universe.
The J. Edgar series was set to feature Jamie Hector reprising his role as Detective Jerry Edgar in an undercover FBI mission in Miami.
The Bosch universe will continue with a spinoff centered on Detective Renée Ballard, starring Maggie Q, set to debut in March 2025.
Amazon Freevee has also canceled the 'Who's the Boss?' sequel, which was to star Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano.
The 'Who's the Boss?' sequel had been in development since 2020, focusing on the life of Samantha Micelli as a single mother.
