The agreement grants Amazon exclusive rights to the Warhammer 40K wargame, a popular miniature wargame where players enact battles using intricately detailed models on tabletops resembling battlefields.
Games Workshop and Amazon will work together for 12 months to establish creative guidelines for the films and TV series.
Production is a lengthy process, often taking two to three years from this point before any content reaches the screen.
