Amateur Soccer Club Wins $1 Million Tournament, Honors Sandy Hook Victims

Newtown Pride FC won the inaugural edition of The Soccer Tournament and the $1 million prize.
The championship game was a low-scoring and tense affair, with Newtown Pride winning 2-0 against SLC FC.
Kelvin Nunes scored the winning goal for Newtown Pride in the 15th minute of target score time.
Newtown Pride FC is an amateur club from Sandy Hook, Connecticut, and was the only amateur club in the TST competition.
The club added "Pride" to its name after the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in the club's hometown.
