Overview

  • More than 200,000 pilgrims have completed darshan at the Amarnath cave shrine since the yatra began on July 3.
  • Operation Shiva has mobilised over 8,500 Army troops alongside 180 CAPF companies to secure both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes.
  • A dedicated counter-UAS grid of more than 50 drone-interception and early-warning systems counters aerial threats along the pilgrimage corridors.
  • Medical infrastructure includes two advanced dressing stations, nine aid posts, a 100-bed hospital and 26 oxygen booths staffed by over 150 doctors and paramedics.
  • Escorted convoys remain on schedule despite a Jammu–Srinagar highway accident that injured nine yatris, all of whom were stabilised at GMC Anantnag.
