Overview
- The Andhra Pradesh government has partnered with IBM, TCS and L&T to develop the 50-acre Quantum Valley Tech Park in Amaravati
- IBM will install its 156-qubit Quantum System Two, billed as India’s most powerful quantum computer, while TCS delivers industry applications and L&T handles infrastructure build-out
- The research agenda spans quantum computing, artificial intelligence, semiconductor design, defence innovation, post-quantum cryptography, photonics and high-performance computing
- Strict green-building norms mandate rooftop solar panels, district cooling and electric vehicle infrastructure to ensure the park runs entirely on renewable energy
- The State Council of Higher Education has directed state universities to introduce quantum computing curricula and secured research partnerships with Purdue University and the University of Tokyo
