Amara Walker, co-anchor of CNN This Morning Weekend, has announced her departure from CNN after more than 10 years with the network.
Walker cited a desire to explore other professional goals outside of TV news, calling it the right time for a career hiatus.
During her tenure, Walker covered major international and domestic events, earning an Emmy in 2024 for her coverage of the Israel-Hamas war.
She has been a prominent figure on CNN International, CNN Max, and CNN's domestic platforms, anchoring breaking news and reporting on significant crises worldwide.
CNN has not yet announced who will replace Walker on CNN This Morning Weekend or her other anchor roles.
