Amapá, Espírito Santo and Sergipe Publish 2026 IPVA Calendars, Discounts and EV Policies

Overview

• Amapá will charge IPVA from March with a 20% discount for single payment by March 16 and the option to pay in six installments through August.
• Amapá fixed 2026 rates at 3% for cars and similar, 1.5% for buses, trucks and motorcycles, and 0.5% for specified aircraft and vessels, while maintaining an EV exemption through 2026 by law.
• In Espírito Santo, cars pay 2% and motorcycles, buses and trucks pay 1%, with a 15% discount for single payment and up to six installments from April to September via Detran-ES or Sefaz sites.
• Sergipe offers a 10% discount for full payment made by March 31, allows payment together with licensing, and permits up to 10 installments by credit card or Pix under its 2026 calendar.
• Sergipe set tiered rates—2.5% for cars valued below R$120,000 and 3% above that, 1% for buses and trucks, and 2% for motorcycles—and stated that electric and hybrid vehicles receive no exemption or discount.
