Amanda Seyfried, Daniel Blumberg Debut 'Clothed by the Sun' From The Testament of Ann Lee

The last-minute end-credits song pairs Seyfried with the film’s composer to frame Mona Fastvold’s Shaker tale.

Overview

  • Released Dec. 3, the duet arrives with a performance video showcasing Seyfried singing alongside Blumberg.
  • Blumberg says he wrote the track in the Berlin mixing studio in the final days of post, with Seyfried recording vocals in New York the next day after Fastvold requested an end-credits tribute.
  • The soundtrack features three original songs alongside more than a dozen reimagined Shaker hymns, with choreography by Celia Rowlson-Hall woven into the film’s musical design.
  • The film opens in select theaters on Dec. 25, including 70mm presentations, with a wider release planned for January.
  • The film premiered at Venice and screened at TIFF in September, and Blumberg—an Oscar winner for The Brutalist—joined Seyfried for a live rendition at London’s Café OTO in October.
