Alwen Hughes, Widow of Disgraced Entertainer Rolf Harris, Dies at 92

Hughes passed away from a stroke, a year after her husband, following a long struggle with frailty and vascular dementia.

Alwen Hughes, a Welsh sculptress and jeweller, died on August 15 at her home in Bray, Berkshire.
She was married to Rolf Harris for 65 years and stood by him even after his conviction for indecent assault on young girls.
Hughes's death certificate cites a stroke, frailty of old age, and vascular dementia as the causes of her death.
Rolf Harris, a former children's entertainer, died in May 2023 at the age of 93 from neck cancer and frailty of old age.
Harris was convicted in 2014 of 12 counts of indecent assault and served nearly three years in prison before his release in 2017.
