Overview
- Alpine presented a veiled blue design sculpture as a first public preview of the third-generation A110 on Monday, September 28, showing proportions and motifs such as a V-shaped front, double light signature and a lowered rear.
- The company confirmed the A110 will be offered exclusively as a fully electric model from 2027 and will ride on the newly developed Alpine Performance Platform (APP).
- Alpine has already trialed a running development prototype called the A110 FUTURE at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to test the new electric architecture and adapted body dimensions.
- Engineers say the APP uses compact, floor-oriented battery packaging with split battery modules and a low center of gravity to preserve the A110’s hallmark lightness and agility; final motor, battery and range figures have not yet been homologated.
- The next public step is a broader presentation of the sculpture at the Paris Motor Show in October, marking only the third full generational change in Alpine’s roughly 71-year history and setting the stakes for preserving the model’s driving character.
