Alpine Debuts A390 Electric SUV as It Affirms Formula 1 Future

Overview

  • The A390 is Alpine’s first SUV and second fully electric model, available in GT and GTS trims.
  • It uses a tri-motor layout—one front and two rear synchronous motors—delivering up to 470 horsepower in the GTS version.
  • An 89 kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides up to 555 km of WLTP range and offers 190 kW fast charging from 15 % to 80 % in about 20 minutes.
  • Production will take place in Dieppe, France, with Italian deliveries slated for the first quarter of 2026 at a starting price of around €64,000.
  • Renault CEO Luca de Meo has reiterated that Alpine will remain in Formula 1 as a core element of its motorsport strategy.
