Alligator Lunges at Couple in Florida Golf Cart Incident

A couple in Florida narrowly escaped an alligator attack while riding a golf cart, as captured in a video by a bystander.

On February 16, an alligator charged at a couple riding in a golf cart in Ave Maria, Florida, nearly causing the vehicle to capsize into a pond.
The incident was recorded by Denise Prues, who witnessed the alligator walking between houses before it lunged at the couple.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission advises residents to be aware of alligators near fresh or brackish water and to call 866-392-4286 if they spot a threatening alligator.
Alligators less than four feet in length are generally not considered dangerous unless handled, according to the FWC.
Despite the scare, the couple managed to escape unharmed, and the alligator retreated back into the pond.
