All Outbound Kennedy Lanes Reopen as Express Lanes Return Monday

IDOT says the project remains on track for completion before Thanksgiving with several scheduled ramp closures to finish work.

Illinois transportation officials reopened all outbound mainline lanes on the Kennedy Expressway on Sunday.
Reversible express lanes are slated to resume normal operations by 5 a.m. Monday.
The Wilson Avenue exit ramp is scheduled to close Monday night, Oct. 6, for two weeks.
The westbound Ontario Street feeder to northbound Kennedy is set to close Monday, Oct. 13, for about two weeks, and a detour will be posted.
Weather permitting, Ohio will close eastbound between the Kennedy and Orleans on Nov. 17 and Ontario will close westbound between Orleans and the Kennedy starting Nov. 18, while access from Ontario to the southbound Kennedy toward the Dan Ryan remains available.
