All Missing Jewellery Found Intact in Bengaluru SBI Locker After Police Inspection

Overview

  • A 54-year-old homemaker reported on March 28 that 145 grams of gold and diamond jewellery valued at around ₹12 lakh were missing from her Dollars Colony SBI locker
  • Sadashivanagar police registered an FIR against unnamed SBI officials under Section 305(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita over the alleged theft
  • On June 1, investigators conducted a videographed spot inspection with the complainant and independent witnesses to access the locker contents
  • Authorities found all items intact and uncovered no evidence of unauthorised access, tampering or procedural lapses at the branch
  • SBI issued a statement saying its security protocols remained uncompromised and that the complainant had inadvertently overlooked items stored deep within the locker
