All-American Farms Accountant Sentenced to 18 Years for $5 Million Embezzlement

The judge cited an "exorbitant" theft with little chance of repayment as the reason for exceeding guidelines, not the recent murder-suicide.

Overview

  • Palm Beach Circuit Court Judge Daliah Weiss imposed an 18-year sentence, exceeding the 13.8-year guideline minimum and the prosecution’s 15-year recommendation.
  • Sadman Dawla, an All-American Farms accountant from 2016 to 2022, pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $5 million by writing unauthorized checks.
  • A July 2025 civil judgment ordered Dawla to pay $5,195,942 to the company, with limited prospects for recovery according to the judge’s remarks.
  • Police said Dawla’s brother, Nesar Dawla, fatally shot co-owners Charles Geragi, 67, and Richard Geragi, 72, during a repayment meeting three days before the sentencing.
  • Authorities reported that Nesar Dawla died by suicide after a brief police chase, and officials have given no indication that Sadman Dawla knew of the planned attack.
