• Gach, 26, left his Alice Springs home Monday at 3:30 pm, spoke to his family two hours later, and then failed to appear for a rostered shift.
• Police located his red Mazda CX5 on Tuesday morning on Larapinta Drive, roughly 15 kilometres west of John Flynn’s Grave Historical Reserve.
• NT Police, NT Emergency Services, NT Fire and Rescue Service, and Parks and Wildlife NT are coordinating the land and air search.
• Temperatures have plunged below zero degrees overnight and are expected to hover around freezing over the weekend, intensifying welfare concerns.
• Anyone who saw Gach near Larapinta Drive, Standley Chasm, or Simpsons Gap on Monday evening is urged to contact authorities.
