Alfonso Cuarón Honored with Locarno Lifetime Achievement Award

The acclaimed Mexican filmmaker will be celebrated at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland this August.

Cuarón will receive the award on August 11 in Piazza Grande, followed by a panel discussion and a film screening he personally selected.
Known for films like 'Gravity,' 'Roma,' and 'Y tu mamá también,' Cuarón has won five Academy Awards.
Locarno's artistic director praised Cuarón's ability to reinvent himself with each film and capture the imagination of millions.
The festival will also honor Jane Campion, Shah Rukh Khan, and others for their contributions to cinema.
Cuarón's upcoming project is the Apple TV+ series 'Disclaimer,' starring Cate Blanchett.
