• Putellas partnered with Alcaldía Azcapotzalco and Scotiabank to inaugurate the renovated 11-a-side Deportivo Reynosa pitch as the third international branch of Foundation Eleven after Spain and Colombia.
• At a press conference during the ceremony, she unequivocally rejected Javier “Chicharito” Hernández’s machista statements and affirmed that everyone should be free to choose what makes them comfortable.
• Foundation Eleven’s new Azcapotzalco program will provide football training and emotional education to more than 100 girls aged 6 to 16 from vulnerable communities.
• While stressing that her present focus remains with FC Barcelona, Putellas acknowledged that “nobody knows what the future holds” and left open the possibility of playing in Liga MX Femenil.
• She is set to return later this month for FC Barcelona Femenil’s friendlies against a Liga MX Femenil All-Star team in Monterrey on August 22 and Club América in Mexico City on August 24.
