Alexandria Police Seek Trio in Halloween Masks After Doorbell Video Captures Break-In Threats

Detectives are reviewing neighborhood camera footage to identify the suspects.

Overview

  • Ring video from about 10 p.m. on Oct. 14 shows three masked individuals at an Alexandria home making explicit threats, including, “It’s either you coming out or we coming in.”
  • Visitor Shayla Whiteside said the group threatened to kill them, pounded doors and windows, broke part of a fence, and tried to force entry during a roughly 10-minute ordeal.
  • Police say no arrests have been made as they follow multiple leads and believe the trio removed their masks and fled in a vehicle after leaving the scene.
  • Investigators are asking residents near Duke and South Jordan streets to review doorbell or security footage from 9 to 10:30 p.m. that night and to share any information.
  • Chief Tarrik McGuire called the incident a very serious matter and warned that attempted entry with threats could bring charges such as burglary and making criminal threats.
