Alejandro Kirk Placed on IL After Sunday Injury

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a cut on his left hand.
Kirk suffered the injury after being hit by a pitch during Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers.
Kirk has hit 3 home runs and driven in 21 runs over 59 games this season.
To replace Kirk, the Blue Jays recalled catcher Tyler Heineman and pitcher Trent Thornton from Triple-A Buffalo.
In a corresponding move, pitcher Bowden Francis was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.
