Overview

• The Food Standards Agency issued an allergy alert on October 18 for Ashfields 30 Day Matured Thin Cut Beef Steaks in 360g packs with a use-by date of 26 October 2025.
• The steaks contain milk that is not listed on the label, posing a health risk to people with a milk allergy or intolerance.
• Aldi has instructed customers not to eat the affected product and to return it to stores for a full refund, issuing an apology in its recall notice.
• As part of the recall, Aldi has displayed point-of-sale notices in stores and contacted relevant allergy support organisations.
• The FSA also announced a separate same-day recall of PYB02 PANATAS Part-Baked 6-pack custard tarts for undeclared egg, milk and wheat, with possible hazelnuts, sesame and soya.
