Overview
- U.S. product safety regulators announced the recall on Thursday and urged owners to stop using the affected cookers immediately.
- The recalled units are models 93550 (KY-318B), 96775 (KY-318A), and 98527 (6L-PC) in six- and eight-quart sizes, sold nationwide from January 2016 through December 2019 for about $40.
- According to the CPSC, the defect allows the lid to open before pressure is released, which can eject hot contents and cause burn injuries.
- Consumers can get a full refund by returning the intact cooker to any ALDI or by emailing photos of an unplugged unit with the cut power cord, model number, and date code to [email protected].
- For questions, consumers can contact ALDI at 800-325-7894 during weekday hours or visit the retailer’s Product Recalls page.
