  • Branston placed third on 74% at £1 for a 410g tin.
  • The tasting assessed texture, sauce quality, sweetness balance and tomato flavour, with tasters praising the top two as strong all-rounders.
  • Other supermarket labels clustered close behind, including Asda and Sainsbury’s at 73%, Morrisons, Ocado and Waitrose at 71%, and Tesco at 68%.
