Overview
- Alba announced the signing on Tuesday, June 30, confirming a contract that runs through 2027 and naming Ford as the club’s first offseason addition.
- Ford is a 28-year-old guard who joins from Bahçeşehir Koleji in Turkey, has EuroCup experience and is reported to have shot above 40 percent from three over his six pro seasons.
- His career includes standout scoring at Saint Mary’s College, stints in Greece and Italy, time in the NBA G-League and six NBA appearances in 2023–24.
- Sporting director Himar Ojeda described Ford as able to play both point guard and shooting guard and said his offensive skills will help cover the likely loss of Jack Kayil to the NBA.
- Alba’s roster remains largely unsettled with only four players under contract and confirmed departures such as Bennet Hundt, so the club faces further signings or retention decisions for players like Martin Hermannsson and Justin Bean.
