Overview

  • More than 70 soldiers from the 910th Engineer Support Company rebuilt Observation Posts Cole and Fagan during Aug. 2–17 annual training at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
  • The operation marked the first time the company’s horizontal earthmoving and vertical construction platoons executed a mission together.
  • Crews demolished deteriorated bunkers, reset foundations, installed drainage, and constructed new shelters to improve safety and observation lines.
  • The upgraded sites support the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment of the U.S. Army’s 11th Airborne Division.
  • Official public-domain photos posted Aug. 20 on DVIDS show Pfc. Reno Powers operating a vibratory roller at OP Cole and Spc. Quentin Jones cutting boards for a bunker at OP Fagan.
