Alaska and Hawaiian Set Oct. 14 Booking Update, Unify Cabins for 2026 Travel

The airlines say a merged reservations platform will cut confusion by presenting consistent seat options across both brands.

Overview

  • Booking systems will display the changes starting Oct. 14 for trips departing on or after April 22, 2026.
  • Cabin tiers will be standardized to First Class, Premium Class, Main Cabin Preferred, Main Cabin, and Saver Fare.
  • Hawaiian’s Extra Comfort rebrands to Premium Class, which includes up to 4 inches of extra legroom and complimentary beer, wine and cocktails.
  • Hawaiian’s Main Cabin Basic transitions to Saver Fare, which keeps no carry-on fee and assigns seats within 24 hours, with a 50% credit for cancellations made at least 14 days before departure.
  • Lie-flat service will be offered on Hawaiian A330s and Alaska 787s, with the 787 adding enclosed suites, and the carriers are progressing on operational consolidation with Hawaiian flight renumbering reported later this month and work toward a single FAA operating certificate.
