Alarming Report Details Spike in Targeted Hate Against LGBTQ+ Community

A report released by GLAAD and ADL documented more than 350 anti-LGBTQ+ hate incidents reported in 46 states and Washington D.C. between June 2022 and April 2023
Nearly half of the incidents were carried out by individuals affiliated with extremist groups peddling the false "grooming" narrative
Drag shows and drag performers were the most frequent targets, making up nearly 40% of reported incidents
The LGBTQ+ community continues to face disproportionate levels of violence and discrimination, with reported hate crimes increasing more than 50% in 2022
Despite troubling trends, popular support for LGBTQ+ rights continues to grow, with over 90% of Americans agreeing that LGBTQ+ people deserve equal rights and protections.
