Overview
- Morissette told hosts of the Handsome podcast that she is pansexual and confirmed the statement when asked if she was joking.
- The comment came during an in‑person interview on the show hosted by Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster, and Mae Martin.
- The disclosure builds on earlier interviews and podcast remarks in which Morissette discussed sexual experimentation and past relationships with women.
- Coverage explains pansexuality as attraction not limited by gender and places Morissette’s remark in the context of growing public use of that label.
- The announcement is likely to matter to Morissette’s large fan base and wider LGBTQ+ audiences and highlights how major podcasts now serve as key platforms for celebrities to define their identities.
