Alan Matarasso, MD, FACS, Named New President of The Plastic Surgery Foundation

Dr. Matarasso will lead the foundation's efforts in advancing plastic surgery research and international initiatives.

Dr. Alan Matarasso took office as president of The Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) on September 29, 2024, during the annual scientific conference in San Diego.
He is a globally recognized plastic surgeon with extensive experience in medical training, education, and scientific research.
Dr. Matarasso has authored over 1,000 peer-reviewed publications and delivered more than 700 presentations on aesthetic plastic surgery.
He has held prominent positions in various plastic surgery organizations, including past presidencies of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The Rhinoplasty Society.
The PSF, founded in 1948, supports research and development to improve patient quality of life and works closely with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
