  • NSW Police have engaged external legal counsel to address the defence’s challenge and attempt to resolve the disputed evidence-gathering processes
  • Jones, 83, remains on bail and has pleaded not guilty to 35 counts of indecent assault, aggravated indecent assault, common assault and sexual touching alleged to have occurred between 2001 and 2019
  • The allegations involve 11 men and are said to have taken place at Jones’s former Newtown residence, his Circular Quay apartment and a Fitzroy Falls property
  • Magistrate Jennifer Giles adjourned the matter until September 18, 2025, to allow both sides to resolve issues over search warrants and phone downloads
