- Over Oct. 21–22, officers executed search warrants at 1223 Railroad Ave. and 80 State Ave., along with a related traffic stop tied to suspected drug distribution.
- The first warrant uncovered thousands of counterfeit M30 fentanyl pills, fentanyl powder, suspected methamphetamine, distribution paraphernalia, cash and three firearms.
- During a Ross Avenue stop, 41-year-old Nicholas Midgley was arrested after officers found more than 1,500 fentanyl pills, suspected fentanyl powder, a handgun and cash in his vehicle.
- The second warrant yielded about $25,000, 11 semi-automatic rifles, seven handguns and an estimated seven to eight pounds of fentanyl pills, plus additional suspected drugs and distribution items.
- Police credited support from CBI’s SIIM unit, Colorado State Patrol Investigative Services, the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office and Adams State Police, and requested community tips.
