Alagoas Prosecutors Expose R$33.7 Million Manipulated Raffle Scheme Led by Kel Ferreti

• Investigators say ex-police officer and influencer Kleverton ‘Kel Ferreti’ commanded an online raffle network that moved at least R$ 33.7 million.
• The scheme allegedly reserved supposedly winning tickets to project legitimacy while most buyers purchased numbers that could not win.
• Records cited by the Ministério Público show Laís Oliveira received nearly R$ 1 million and Eduardo Veloso R$ 456,000 between January and April 2024 before both were arrested in December and later released.
• Operação Trapaça in December seized jewelry, phones and about R$ 20,000 in cash from Ferreti, who had been expelled from the Military Police in 2023.
• Ferreti’s rape sentence was reduced to eight years and he now serves under electronic monitoring, while all three defendants deny owning betting platforms and say their roles were limited to advertising.
