  • Indiana’s 63-10 rout of Illinois vaulted the Hoosiers to No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll, while the Illini tumbled to No. 23.
  • Texas Tech’s 34-10 road win at Utah pushed the Red Raiders to No. 14, and the Utes fell out of the rankings.
  • Oklahoma rose to No. 10 after a 24-17 win over Auburn, and the SEC later said a second-quarter Sooners touchdown should not have counted.
  • Alabama fell two spots to No. 16 after a bye and heads to Georgia next week in a matchup of top-five Bulldogs against the sliding Tide.
  • Texas A&M climbed to No. 9 following its win at Notre Dame, while South Carolina and Auburn dropped out; next week also brings Oregon at Penn State.
