Alabama QB Tyler Buchner Returns to Notre Dame for Lacrosse

Buchner, once a highly-rated lacrosse player, will complete his degree at Notre Dame while continuing his commitment to Alabama through the College Football Playoff.

• Buchner started the 2022 season as Notre Dame's starting quarterback but suffered an injury during a game against Marshall.
• After transferring to Alabama, Buchner started a game against South Florida but struggled and ended the season behind starter Jalen Milroe.
• Buchner will stay with Alabama through the College Football Playoff, where they face Michigan on Jan. 1 in the Rose Bowl.
• Prior to committing to football, Buchner was a highly-rated lacrosse player, committing to play at Michigan in middle school and clocking a lacrosse ball shot at 100 mph in the seventh grade.
