Al Michaels is reportedly set to continue as the play-by-play announcer for Amazon Prime Video's Thursday Night Football in 2025, according to The Athletic.
His current three-year deal, worth approximately $15 million annually, concludes at the end of the 2024 NFL season, with future contracts expected to be year-to-year agreements.
Michaels, who turned 80 last month, has emphasized his intention to evaluate his career on an annual basis going forward.
Amazon Prime Video has credited Michaels' extensive broadcasting legacy, including iconic calls like the 'Miracle on Ice,' as a key to building credibility in its NFL coverage since acquiring Thursday Night Football rights in 2022.
The broadcaster will also call Amazon's first-ever NFL playoff game this season, further solidifying his role in their programming.
