Overview

• Deron Boston, 26, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 900 block of Dayton Street about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene.
• Moments later, a 25-year-old man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot injuries and remains hospitalized, and police have not determined where he was shot.
• In a separate case, officers were called to Cleveland Clinic Akron General at 12:30 a.m. Sunday for a 29-year-old pregnant woman who suffered significant injuries; her unborn child died and she is expected to recover.
• Detectives are examining whether the shootings are connected, and no arrests have been announced in either case.
