Overview
- The unit made its first stop in Warren on Nov. 5 and will operate at the Youngstown Main Library on Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Families can walk in without appointments for patients from birth to age 21.
- Services include well-child checkups, sick visits, immunizations, and rapid tests for strep, flu, COVID-19 and mononucleosis, plus urinalysis.
- Weekly operations begin with Wednesday and Thursday rotations across Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, with the schedule posted on Akron Children’s website.
- The 40-foot Freightliner clinic has two exam rooms and was donated by Ronald McDonald House Charities for exclusive use in the tri-county area to ease transportation barriers and reduce non-emergency ER visits.
