Akram Afif and Kiko Seike Win AFC Player of the Year Awards

Qatar's Afif and Japan's Seike honored for their exceptional performances at the AFC awards ceremony in Seoul.

Akram Afif was named AFC Men's Player of the Year for the second time, following his pivotal role in Qatar's Asian Cup victory.
Afif, who also won the award in 2019, scored eight goals in the tournament, including a historic hat-trick in the final.
Kiko Seike received the AFC Women's Player of the Year award after leading Urawa Red Diamonds to a domestic and Asian club title.
Seike is the fourth Japanese player to win the women's award, succeeding Australia's Sam Kerr.
Additional honors included Tottenham's Son Heung-min as AFC Men's International Player and Ellie Carpenter as the women's international winner.
